Bethany, mama of 3
Forest was my doula for my third child, and she made it an absolutely incredible experience. She approaches her work with such competence, passion, and authenticity. She is both highly professional and relational, and offers an abundance of helpful ideas and methods during the birth process that is empowering without being overwhelming in the slightest. Her steadfast, trustworthy personality is a calming presence, and her physical and emotional strength is a huge encouragement. I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive, talented birth doula to walk alongside me in one of life’s most significant events. Thank you, Forest
Teysha, First time mama
Forest was my first Doula with my first child. I can't thank her enough for all she did for me! I was induced a couple weeks before my due date and Forest was there for me on short notice. She help me talk to the nurses when I couldn't find the words, she made sure I asked all the questions and helped me get the birth experience I wanted. She is beyond professional but relatable. I would reccomend her to anyone!
Brooke, Birth Photographer
I was the photographer at a birth while Forest was assisting as a doula. She did an amazing job being physically and emotionally supportive to both the mom and dad during labor. You can tell she is passionate about what she does. After the birth both parents commented on how helpful she was and how they would never want to give birth again without her! I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Forest for your birth!
Kearston, First Time Mama
Words can’t describe how amazing Forest is. I had planned a birth center water birth for my first child and had my mind completely set on only wanting that. Forest had asked me multiple times what my plan b was and if I would be okay going to the hospital need be and I told her no. That the chances of me having to transfer due to medical necessity were less then 3 percent and I wasn’t going to opt into going because of pain. And she supported that decision along with telling me to think of a plan b that I would be okay with. And of course I didn’t, I told myself no way am I going to the hospital! Come time of my water breaking I have meconium in my water, which for those of you who don’t know can cause your child to not breath when born and if they breath it in they become very sick. I went to the midwifery to confirm that’s what it was and my midwife told me I had to transfer for the safety of my baby. I was heartbroken sobbing because I didn’t want to go. I told myself of course I’m part of that 3 percent. The plan was to still have a natural birth but at the hospital. When I got to the hospital I wasn’t dilated at all and my contractions were rough. I told myself I could do this with the support of my husband I can get through this. It had been over 24 hours since I slept and I was 4cm dilated and been laboring for over 12 hours when I decided to call forest to come to the hospital. I had decided I was going to get an epidural and needed my extra support. Forest was on the phone with my husband during my 12 hours of labor and made it to the hospital right as I was getting the epidural. I told Forest I did not want to be pumped with fluids and she made sure my voice was heard. I fell asleep shortly after I got the epidural and when I woke up the room was clean and forest had made it a whole new environment. When I tell you the room was a mess it was bad, my husband and I had water all over the floor form me getting in and out of the shower we had food everywhere and thrown our stuff on various surfaces. And when I woke up she had put a defuser up and picked up all our clothes and other various stuff and put it in our bags, put candles on the food tray and had water there for me. She brought my husband a sandwich to eat. When I woke up I felt so much more calm. So ready to enjoy the birth of my daughter. When it came time to push almost 20 hours after my water broke forest took the most amazing pictures of my husband and I and helped support myself and my husband through getting my sweet girl out. By the time I was pushing my epidural did nothing to take the pain away. And yet I felt so much better because forest was there. My mom wasn’t allowed in the room due to everything going on and forest kept in continuous contact with her and kept her updated. Made sure I was calling her when I needed her and made sure she was still part of my birth. I would recommend forest 100 times over again. She taught me that no matter how your birth story goes that it is yours and you are a goddess and your story is amazing. My birth story is mine and I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for your support during this amazing moment in my life Forest
