Services
What does Moon Child Support look like? Having a Doula support you during your Birth Time is life changing but every Doula is different. So much of our learning is beyond that of our initial certification and workshops. These services briefly describe what I can offer you and how I can support your journey but I truly believe that a connection is the most important thing. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have! I would love to share space with you and support your Birth Journey.

On Call 24/7
From the moment we sign the contract, I am available by phone or email 24/7. Most mamas-to-be have moments where they need an ear to hear their concerns or their excitement. A Doula is a wonderful addition to the Birth Team and is full of knowledge and resources. Many of my clients have even requested I join them at Childbirth or Breastfeeding classes and I am happy to attend if my schedule allows. Once you reach 38 weeks of pregnancy, I am available to attend your labor through the birth of your baby .

When you request I join your labor (whether it be at your home, Birth Center or Hospital) I will leave to join you within the hour. To name a few things I will provide (if needed/ requested):
Massage
Rebozo Techniques
Counter Pressure
TENs labor support
Acupressure
Aromatherapy
Hydrotherapy
Breathing techniques
Optimal positioning (Labor and pushing)
Relaxation techniques
Postpartum Visit(s)
I will visit you at your home to discuss your Birth Story. A mother’s Birth Story is so important and to a Doula, it is important to know that you left your birth room feeling empowered. Even though I attend the entire birth, hearing your Birth Story from your perspective is a wonderful thing. Otherwise, I usually let you lead where discussions will go. I try to support you in any way you may need. Immediate postpartum is a difficult time for any mother, so I try to gauge how you may be feeling and may lead open discussion on emotions and self-care. Otherwise some things we may discuss are:
postpartum care (for both you and baby)
Belly Binding (if you choose)
Breastfeeding (milk supply, diet, feeding schedules)
Pelvic Floor care
Postpartum exercise
